A Wax Museum is a unique environment. All materials and finishes have to be of the highest quality and durability, particularly when it’s the world famous Madame Tussauds. Pure Projects provided project management services for this prestigious undertaking.
The project was as complex as its famous wax inhabitants, involving close collaboration with the UK-based design team to ensure every detail of this iconic brand was delivered. That included extensive base building upgrades using specific materials and finishes as well as highly specialised theming, lighting and graphics.
Pure also assisted in the coordination of the import and customs clearance of the wax figurines (not something you do every day). We also ensured that no photos of the Museum were released prior to its official opening with strict control of the site and contractors.
The project also involved modification work to the existing building structure so that bespoke elements of the fit-out could be accommodated.
We’re very happy to say the project was completed on time and under budget, and no celebrity, real or otherwise, was injured in the process.
